If you have drop handlebars and the tape has started unravelling or become tatty, replacing it is a quick and easy way of making the whole bike look smarter. It is also a strangely satisfying job.
You will need
鈥?Bar tape 鈥?you can either buy a roll on its own or as part of a set, which comes with two bar plugs and plastic adhesive tape
鈥?Scissors
First, pull out the plugs at the end of the handlebars, using a screwdriver if necessary モンクレール ブランソン 激安, and take off all the old tape. Roll back the rubber hoods covering the brake levers モンクレールアウトレット御殿場, and take a small piece of tape (7cm or so long 鈥?if you've bought a set, it will include two such strips) and use it to cover the awkward bit in the corner next to the brakes.
Then, take the roll of tape and モンクレール ヒマラヤ, starting from the bar ends, where you tuck in the first inch or so of tape, work your way towards the middle of the bars, overlapping each subsequent layer halfway with the next. Do it as tightly and neatly as possible 鈥?it usually takes a few goes to get it perfect 鈥?and then secure the end with some adhesive tape. Pop the bar plugs back in and you're done.
If you have light-coloured bar tape that becomes grubby quickly, and you don't fancy replacing the whole thing, judiciously applied oven cleaner will degrime them in minutes.
